This Touring Coupe AM 101-202 was built in August 1958 and finished in Bianca Polo (White) with a red leather interior and fitted with drum brakes on all four wheels. The details of how and when the car came to the USA are something of a mystery but when it was purchased in 1996 in New England for the present owner by R.P.M., the Vergennes, VT based performance dealer and specialist Ferrari workshop. It was described as being very sound and straight, finished with a correct Maserati red exterior and a beige leather interior, factory disc brakes had been fitted all round, a common period conversion and the front and rear bumpers removed. |

When new this car was delivered to Tubino & Co in Genova on the 3rd of june 1959.
Bought by Marcel Zwaneveld in 2005. He's looking for the last small parts to get the car complete. This is one of the very rare cars that has airvents in the front wings. Although this feature appears on earlier Touring bodied cars from different makes from the late 30's onwards it's very rare on a 3500. In februari 2006 i went to Marcel. He has the car complete apart from some details and just started to assemle the car and it get it back on the road.

I've got the following story from Simon: I purchased it from the US in 2003 its number 101512 it was originally ordered in Italy by an Italian business man who died before taking delivery of it then sat in the factory before being first registered in italy in 1961 before delivery the factory upgraded the brakes to discs. Its now in perfect condition as the day it left the factory. It was restored at the cost of over $120K in the states in the early nineties, it has done just show mileage since.
July 2008. The car has been sold through Bonham's aucions to a new unknown owner.
