101-1044 Engine rebuild 2005
Because it was unknown how the condition of the engine was, i took it apart for inspection.
Things like clogged lubrication holes in the crankshaft could damage the bearings on the long run.

The engine just taken out of the car.


Oilpump drive gear with new bearings.

The crankshaft back from the machineshop.
All main and conrod journals regrinded to fit new bearings, all 1st undersize.

Engine ready for new main bearings to be fit.

Distribution idle gear fitted with new bearings.
The oil lubrication hole was clogged with dirt.

A box with conrods, new bearings on top and bottem.

New pistons facing the old.

Crankshaft fitted and all nuts retorqued.
It takes some time to fit the 15 castlenuts and cotterpins wich keep the flywheel on his place

All engine pieces with assembly number '292'.

Head gasket with fire rings mounted.

Engine short block complete, ready to get the cilinderhead back in place.


No work done on the head, seems to be in good order.


The completed engine ready to be installed.
